It takes a community to build a business. From baristas next door to friends to regular customers — all these people make up an unofficial team. They are essential supporters. And SumUp is one of them.

In a category that speaks to entrepreneurs like they’re alone, against the world, SumUp celebrates business owners and communities together. This campaign spotlights three small businesses and their unofficial teams. First we built a stage in each place of business. Then we captured team portraits of entrepreneurs with the neighbours, dogs, exotic flower dealers, and SumUp products that support them. Each image is a celebration of everything they've built together. Through stills and a film that document everyone gathering, SumUp raises these unofficial teams to official status.
